This is the Jibber Jabber News Wire. It is our online connection with the families that allow us the privilege of spending our days with their children. This newsletter is where we share funny stories and exciting events that take place while your children are in our very unique childcare. We will allow them opportunities that not every child would be allowed to have to explore new things in their world at a young age. We love to watch them investigate and see what happens as they try new experiences and gain so much knowledge. Please take a look and see all of the fun we have been having while we learn and get ready for school.

In the Jungle, the Mighty Jungle!

In the Jibber Jabber jungle we are monkeying around with some awesome arts and crafts!

We started our week by making monkeys!!! They were a blast and the kids had so much fun making monkey sounds all day long!

Our next project started by painting elephants, naming them fun names like, "Rock and Roll, "Merlin," and "Bob!"

Oops looks like Nick missed the elephant and got his nose!

Then we attached party blowers and spent an afternoon walking around blowing out our elephant trunks!!! It was so great!

After mastering some of the jungle animal sounds, we got busy making jungle animal noses! The kids made tigers, giraffes and cheetahs!

We learned how to sing, "Never Smile at a Crocodile," while we painted these big guys!

We practiced beading and making patterns when we made our hissing snakes!

Our last animal to make was the lion, the king of the jungle!

Our last project was to make binoculars and go on a jungle adventure!!!

We hunted down crocodiles, snakes and had an absolutely awesome time!

We hope you've enjoyed our crafts from the Jibber Jabber jungle!

Greetings from outer space!

To infinity and beyond is where we went for our outer space theme!
It was a ton of fun pretending to fly in outer space and talking about all the different planets!

Out first craft was making UFOs to hang from our playroom ceiling! The kids looking up to see their projects hanging from the ceiling!

Next we worked on making the moon! We painted the moon and used a cap to make the craters! Then the kids got to add stars to the sky!

Another fun activity was name rockets! We glued the letters of our name down in order to make a rocket ship! Everyone had fun practicing spelling their name!

Sensory table time! We took a bunch of shredded paper and added some different colored stars into the mix! It was so much fun to dig them out and match them with their colors!

One of our favorite projects every year is to make jet packs! We love playing with them all day and pretending to fly to far away places!

Last but not least, we made helmets and had a blast being astronauts!

It was a fun week in outer space! We hope you enjoyed it!

Under the Sea!

Under the sea is a fun place to learn and play! We've had an awesome time learning about the different creatures from under the sea and making them come to life in our awesome crafts!

We started out by making a giant paper chain octopus! Everyone got to help and it turned out so pretty! Look for it on display in our window!

Next we went with a favorite of everyone's, socktopus'!
By crumbling up newspaper and stuffing the socks full, we make a big octopus head and use the bottom for legs!

Sometimes we just wear them on our heads!!!

We worked hard on painting some fancy sea turtles!
The kids used a variety of colors to make patterns and designs on their turtles!

Julia having a whale of a time painting her styrofoam cup whale!

Everyone loves to paint seashells!
After picking which shell they want, the kids work hard to paint and mix colors on their seashells!

We had a great time painting our tin foil fish and making designs in the paint afterwards!

Our last and by far coolest project was to make popcorn seahorses!
Time to bust out the popcorn maker!
The kids were so excited to measure the popcorn, pour it in and wait for the magic.
Everyone was jumping up and down excited when the popping began and they were even more excited to learn we were coloring it!

We used paint powder to make them purple and green and glue some awesome texture on to our seahorses!

We loved our under the sea theme and hope you did too!
