This is the Jibber Jabber News Wire. It is our online connection with the families that allow us the privilege of spending our days with their children. This newsletter is where we share funny stories and exciting events that take place while your children are in our very unique childcare. We will allow them opportunities that not every child would be allowed to have to explore new things in their world at a young age. We love to watch them investigate and see what happens as they try new experiences and gain so much knowledge. Please take a look and see all of the fun we have been having while we learn and get ready for school.

More From Mother Goose!

This week at Jibber Jabber we have been continuing our Nursery Rhyme theme! It has been a lot of fun learning different poems and songs together! Some of our favorites are Little Bo Peep and Humpty Dumpty! Little Bo Peep brought a few very fun activities! We dressed up as sheep and pretended to be lost and we made fun foamy bubbles and let them pop to decorate our sheep!

The kids were having so much fun blowing bubbles out of the cups and watching them pop! They made the cutest sheep!

We also studied Humpty Dumpty! This was definitely a favorite! We put together Humpty Dumpty puzzles, made egg mosaics and painted our own paper plate Humpty Dumptys!
As we sang the song we discussed what Humpty Dumpty might have sat on to make him fall off the wall! We had answers like pizza, bananas, a kite, and another egg! :)

Our Humpty Dumpty puzzles were challenging but it was a very exciting moment when we put Humpty Dumpty back together again! The kids each drew a face on them! Aurora wasn't sure if we should draw a happy face or a sad face, but we decided that since he was put back together, he was probably a pretty happy guy!

It's been another successful week at Jibber Jabber! We're all very excited that Fall is here and are looking forward to the fun crafts to come!

Nursery Rhyme Time

Last week at Jibber Jabber we started learning about Nursery Rhymes! The kids have had a lot of fun singing classic songs like The Itsy Bitsy Spider and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! One craft that everyone really enjoyed was making Itsy Bitsy Theme Cups!

These cool styrofoam cups had a string wrapped through them and a spider glued on! When you pull the string from the inside, the spider "crawls" up the side of the "water spout!" We had so much fun singing this song over and over again! We also made some really cool hand print spiders! Everyone loved the squishy feeling of having paint all over their hands!

Our next cool project was Hey Diddle Diddle Fiddles! We played our fiddles and practiced singing Hey Diddle Diddle!

After all the fun projects we did, we had to top it off with something truly awesome! So we went into Twinkle Twinkle Little Star ready to make magic! We started off by baking and decorating star shaped sugar cookies! Yummy! Then we made some super cool Twinkle Twinkle Bottles! By mixing liquid dish soap, water, glitter and star beads, we made a little sky in a bottle!
We have had such a great time learning and practicing our nursery rhymes! We read some great stories like The Three Little Pigs, Three Little Kittens, and Cinderella! It's definitely been another amazing week at Jibber Jabber!

Dinosaur days!

Our dinosaur theme has ended and with that, we have a ton of fun crafts, activities, and photos to share!

Bryce and Lilly have become good friends! Bryce likes to lay on his belly and talk to Lilly when she comes outside to play with everyone!

One of our best activities this week was definitely our fossil making and our fossil hunt! The kids had a great time kneading the fossil dough and helping their T-Rex and Stegosaurus friends walk through the dough to create footprints!

After letting them dry for a few days, the fossils were buried in the dirt and mud! Everyone grabbed a magnifying glass and we went hunting!

Everyone was super excited about this activitiy! We talked all about the different dinosaurs that might have left the marks! Some of them were even determined to be from baby dinosaurs! We definitely got dirty in dinosaur land!

Another fun project this week was our "D" is for Dinosaur project! After gluing together several pieces, they had a Brontosaurus that was shaped like the letter D! We had so much fun decorating them with polka dots, stripes, and squiggles!

Last but not least, here are some fun shots of our outdoor play during the week! Enjoy!

Sammy and Bryce decorating the house for a party!
Nick bouncing around on his zebra friend!

Payton riding in on her harley!
Look forward to next week's blog when we show off our Nursery Rhyme crafts and fun!

Dinosaurs Galore!

It's dinosaur week here at Jibber Jabber and the kids are digging into some crazy activities! We have had a lot of fun learning about the different types of dinosars! We have talked about the Tyrannosaurus Rex's small arms, the Pterodactyl's wings and even the spikes on the Stegosaurus! To
get the kids in the dinsaur mood, we've worked on some really cool crafts!

We started off by making some handprint volcanoes! The kids painted their fists and smashed all over the paper making the volcano and then painted their hands bright red to make lava! We had a lot of messy fun and everyone screamed for more paint to make their explosion bigger! We got to talking about dinosaurs that may have lived near volcanoes!
We went on later in the week to a much messier project of painting our own Pterodactyl wings! This was a fun project for everyone as they mixed colors around and we made Pterodactyl sounds!  We had a great time flapping our Pterodactyl wings around outside!

We've learned a lot about dinosaurs this week and are looking forward to the rest of our dinosaur theme! We're going to have a roaring good time!
