This is the Jibber Jabber News Wire. It is our online connection with the families that allow us the privilege of spending our days with their children. This newsletter is where we share funny stories and exciting events that take place while your children are in our very unique childcare. We will allow them opportunities that not every child would be allowed to have to explore new things in their world at a young age. We love to watch them investigate and see what happens as they try new experiences and gain so much knowledge. Please take a look and see all of the fun we have been having while we learn and get ready for school.

Fall Fun!

Fall has been such an exciting time at Jibber Jabber! We have done some awesome Halloween and fall crafts and we visited the pumpkin patch! Here are some of the crafts we have been working on!

We started off by painting our spooky spiders! We talked about how many legs spiders have and what color our spiders were going to be! You'll see them hanging on our spider web!

I love spiders!

Lilly decided she would test our the paint color on the wall!

Concentrating very hard on the details!

Our next craft was a lot of very messy fun! After picking our pumpkins at the pumpkin patch, we decided what better way to make a picture of the dirt for our fall tree then to roll pumpkins in paint! It was a lot of fun racing the pumpkins down and watching all of the colors mix together!

After we were done with the paper, we decided to move it to the cement

After our pumpkin was thoroughly painted we moved on to foot painting!

Soon enough we were comparing the sizes of everyone's feet!
Miss Vanessa's feet were the very biggest of them all!

Our next messy activity involved more feet! We painted our feet white and made ghost prints!

Julia is not so sure about all of the paint on her feet!

Time for Jibber Jabber Jack-o-Lanterns!
We talked a lot about shapes during this activity as we had square, circle, triangle, diamond, oval and heart shapes to choose from when we were making eyes, noses and mouths!

Here is Bryce showing me the face his pumpkin is going to be making!

We moved on to a yummy craft after that! We made Halloween tortilla chips! Using pumpkins, bats, moons and cats we made our own tasty treats!

Last but not least we got down and dirty with "Pumpkin Brains!" The kids all really enjoyed picking the seeds apart from the goo and squishing it all in their fingers!

Everybody say, "Goo!"

It has been another mess and fun filled week at Jibber Jabber!

Our Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

Every year, we take a field trip to visit the pumpkin patch! It's our most exciting field trip of the year and everyone looks forward to climbing on the hay, going on hayrides and picking out their very own pumpkins to take home! Here are some of the photos from our trip!

We started off with an awesome hayride! We learned about corn and how tall it grows and got to go all around the farm!

Here we are petting the goats!

Julia is enjoying the ride!

Sammy is queen of the hay bales!

Waiting in line for the slide!

Hello in there!

Climbing up the hay bales!

Here the come out the tunnel! It went right through all the hay!

Everybody smile!

Or make funny faces!

Fall Leaves and Pumpking and Scarecrows, Oh My!

Chilly winds are coming in and leaves are falling from the trees! It must be Fall! Everyone is very excited about this changing season! We decided to start off our Fall theme with some leaf crowns! It was a great activity and we got to discuss the colors of the leaves as they change from green to red, yellow, and orange!

Next we moved onto decorations! After bubble wrap painting six ears of corn, we wrapped them in husks and shape them into a wreath! We talked about how big corn is growing in fields and the funny shape of kernels!

As Halloween approaches we knew we needed to break out the Jack-o-lanterns! These bags full of goo were the perfect way to make them and it was so much fun squishing them against the window and observing the way they glow in the sunlight!

Hard at work putting his face together!

Next came Rosetta! Rosetta is our scarecrow!
She was so much fun to stuff and put together! Here are some pictures of her coming to life!

You can't have Halloween without a few scares!
After dressing up like a ghost, Preston haunted everyone in the playroom! Even the big kids were taken by surprise!

We hope you have enjoyed our spooky crafts this week!
