This is the Jibber Jabber News Wire. It is our online connection with the families that allow us the privilege of spending our days with their children. This newsletter is where we share funny stories and exciting events that take place while your children are in our very unique childcare. We will allow them opportunities that not every child would be allowed to have to explore new things in their world at a young age. We love to watch them investigate and see what happens as they try new experiences and gain so much knowledge. Please take a look and see all of the fun we have been having while we learn and get ready for school.

St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day is here! Time to learn about leprechauns and the pot of gold at the end of every rainbow!

We started our week off with some green! We made fancy St. Patrick's Day ties! We used rainbows, pots of gold, and horseshoes as decorations! It was a fun project to start off with and gave us a chance to talk while we worked about the different elements of St. Patrick's Day!

Our next activity was color sorting! We sorted through cereal to find the colors we needed to make a rainbow and added gold fish to our pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

After finding gold at the end of the rainbow, we decided to become leprechauns ourselves! We painted our beards, glued on our hats and there we were! The cutest leprechauns you've ever seen!

To get into the green spirit, we decided to finger paint green and use the fancy designs to make prints on our four leaf clover glasses!

Last but not least, we went on a treasure hunt! We found all the gold and jewels left behind by the leprechauns!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from all of us to you!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Our favorite time of the year is here!
We must shout! We must cheer!
A very special holiday!
It's Dr. Seuss' birthday!

Happy birthday to Dr. Seuss!
This is one of our favorite times of the year!
We get to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday with all kinds of wacky crafts!
We spend all week reading his stories and doing arts and crafts to go with them!

We started off by making a fun snack, Dr. Seuss soup!

We poured in some red fish and some blue fish and some brown bar-ba-loots!

Mixed it all together with the colors of the rainbow!

A tasty treat!

Then, we got to do a fun fishy craft!
After reading One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, we got to work!
We took plates with a hidden design and painted over them to reveal beautiful fish scales!
Then we added tails and fins and had ourselves some unique fish!

Our next fish activity was to take fancy perforated paper and wrap it around a toilet paper tube to paint a fish with funky scales!

By mixing different colors together, we made our fish look real!

After reading Yertle the Turtle, we painted our very own turtles and stacked them up high!
Look for them hanging in the playroom!

It was a fun adventure to learn and to rhyme!
Too quickly has passed our super fun time!
We miss it already, but never fear!
Dr. Seuss' birthday comes once a year!

Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Love is in the air at Jibber Jabber as we celebrate Valentine's Day with fun crafts!

Rashaan and Zariah are working hard on their heart shaped butterflies!
This was a fun activity to make and we got to discuss shapes and colors with!

Our next activity was getting to make extra special heart shaped cookies!
After preparing our sugar cookie dough, we cut them out into heart shapes and then cut out the centers. The kids got to take turns scooping in rainbow candies to make a beautiful "stained glass" effect!
They were adorable and delicious!

A fun project this year was getting to make heart shaped glasses!
Everyone got to color in their glasses and discuss the different patterns and shapes that were on their glasses!

Say, "Cheese!"

On Valentine's Day, all of our friends brought treats and cards to share. They got to pass them out to all of their friends and bring them home at the end of the day!
Everyone was so excited to discuss what they got!

We had a lot of fun this spreading the love!
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
