Winter is here and so is the cold weather! Since we don't get snow ourselves, we decided to start off this theme by making our own!!!
First you have to squish it up to get the right texture! Everyone is excited to get their hands dirty!
Well, almost everyone!
Once it's all mixed together, the action begins!
Elijah and Sammy made it sprinkle down like snow falling from the sky!
Then they squished it, played with it, and tossed it around!
The end result, a white winter!
We love snow!
After the snow day we decided to make some snowflakes of our own! With help from Ms. Christy, we carefully twisted pipe cleaners and dipped them in "magic snow mix" to let them grow! You can see them hanging in the playroom!
Something we do get around here is rain! After making some umbrellas out of cupcake liners, we glued them down and let the rain come!
What a fun activity!
Last but not least, we made rain sticks! This was such a fun project! We started by painting them in fancy shimmer paint and then filled them with coiled up aluminum foil and rice! After securing the ends with tape, we had fancy rain sticks! Everyone was so excited with how much they sounded just like the rain!
We hope you have enjoyed our winter theme as much as we have!
