This is the Jibber Jabber News Wire. It is our online connection with the families that allow us the privilege of spending our days with their children. This newsletter is where we share funny stories and exciting events that take place while your children are in our very unique childcare. We will allow them opportunities that not every child would be allowed to have to explore new things in their world at a young age. We love to watch them investigate and see what happens as they try new experiences and gain so much knowledge. Please take a look and see all of the fun we have been having while we learn and get ready for school.

Chinese New Year!

Chinese New Year has arrived! The year of the snake brought a lot of fun crafts and exciting activities!  We kicked off the Chinese New Year with some paper chain dragons! These were so much fun to make and you can find them roaming around our playroom!

Hard at work making her paper chain!

Showing off our dragon's teeth!

From there, we moved onto making beautiful Chinese lanterns! We all had a fun time decorating them and talking about how they are used for decoration!

All of the kids were very proud of their finished products! They turned out beautifully!
We then went to a storytelling project. The kids were asked what they would do if they had a pet dragon and they drew a picture of themselves with their dragon!

It was really fun to hear all of the stories about everyone's dragons!

The next craft we worked on was making paper fans! This was a big hit!
Using beautiful colors to draw snakes on our fans!

Posing with our fancy fans!

Last but not least, our toilet paper roll snakes!
All of the kids were given toilet paper rolls to paint green and tie together using pipe cleaners! They were so excited to see their snakes wiggle and squiggle!

We really enjoyed our Chinese New Year crafts and learning all different characters used for writing, animals associated with years and beautiful colors!

Gung Hay Fat Choy!
Happy New Year!
